This was taken on my way out of San Francisco during the early part of this month (March 5). It was raining and I was down about leaving the place. I've walked around this corner so many times on my way to some eatery, bar, live event or just shopping in the area.

That day was one of the most haunting and disturbing days of my life.

New year's eve in the French Quarter this year. It was so strange, the city was destroyed, but the French Quarter was untouched.

Did you hear about the big demonstrations this week by students, against the new immigration bill?

Here are some of them walking by, on their way to walk on the freeway and piss off everyone trying to _use_ the freeway.

There were a lot more cops than in this photo.

This is Alcatraz island, home of the famous (former) federal penitentiary. It was only a prison till '63. In '69 it was home to a massive protest held by a tribe of american indians till '71 (i believe).

Anyhow, it's really a great tour to go on. If you have never been there and live in the area, I encourage you to go.

He has a Canon 5D pro camera and the Montréal panorama above is a 5x3 composite put together in photoshop. Very impressive.
